Dr. Menka Pathak, currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agriculture at Netaji Subhas University. I have completed my Master’s degree in Horticulture with specialization in Vegetable Science, followed by my Doctorate from Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneswar.

My academic journey has been deeply rooted in Nutrient management and soil health. My M.Sc. research focused on Studies on Nutrient Management in Radish (Raphanus sativus L.) – Coriander (Coriandrum sativum L.) Cropping Sequence, while my Doctoral work emphasized  Studies on Integrated Nutrient Management in Bottle Gourd (Lagenaria siceraria (Molina) Standl.). These experiences have shaped my strong interest in soil fertility, resource conservation agriculture, and environmental sustainability.

I have qualified the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)- NET (National Eligibility Test) examination in the subject of ”Vegetable Science” conducted by Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board (ASRB), and my research contributions include 14 research papers published in national and international journals along with 6 book chapters in Springer Nature, I have published 7 articles in various magazines and 13 abstracts in various national and international symposium, where I have presented my research work. I have also actively participated in various national and international conferences, symposiums, and professional training programs.

In my current role, I am actively involved in teaching, research, and extension activities. My areas of interest include Horticulture, Crop production, Post-harvest management, Soil fertility, Economic Botany. I strongly believe in combining theoretical knowledge with practical exposure, and I strive to enhance students’ learning through innovative teaching methods and field-based experiences.
