I am an academician and marketing professional with a diverse blend of corporate, teaching, and research experience spanning more than two decades. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Netaji Subhas University, Jamshedpur, I bring over six years of teaching and training experience, following a rewarding career of 15+ years in the sales and marketing domain with reputed organizations including Wockhardt Ltd., Baxter India Pvt. Ltd., ICICI Bank, and Mahindra & Mahindra Finance.
My academic qualifications include a PGDBM in Marketing from the Indian Institute of Rural Management, Jaipur (NAAC Accredited A+), and I am presently pursuing a PhD in Marketing from Usha Martin University, Ranchi. My academic journey is backed by a strong foundation in practical marketing, which enables me to deliver experiential learning in classrooms. I have published research papers and presented at conferences hosted by prestigious institutions such as IIMs and XLRI. I have also actively participated in faculty development programs (FDPs), seminars, and workshops aimed at staying current with evolving teaching methodologies and market trends. My teaching philosophy emphasizes interactive learning, where students are encouraged to relate marketing theories with real-world scenarios. I incorporate tools such as case study analysis, industry projects, and field visits to make learning more engaging. My areas of specialization include Consumer Behavior, Brand Management, Retail Marketing, Sales and Distribution Management, and Strategic Management.
Prior to academia, my professional roles have spanned strategic marketing, key account management, fundraising, business development, and leadership positions. My professional strengths lie in my commitment to excellence, communication skills, leadership abilities, and a strong passion for mentoring and education. I have worked on diverse projects during my academic and corporate tenure, including internship assignments with ITC Ltd., Kirloskar Oil Engines, and PWC Japan. On the personal front, I strongly believe that my unique combination of academic rigor, industrial exposure, and a student-centric approach to teaching positions will help me to contribute effectively to academic institutions and inspire the next generation of marketing professionals.
