Prof.(Dr.) Raj Kumar Nayak, born on June 10, 1973, is a distinguished academic and educator with a comprehensive background in education and philosophy. With multiple master’s degrees—M.A. in Education, M.A. in English Literature, M.A. in Philosophy, M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication—along with an M.Phil. in Education, an M.Ed., and a Ph.D. in Education, Dr. Nayak has specialized in various areas of education, including the Philosophy of Education, Contemporary Problems of Indian Education, Value Education, Human Rights Education, Educational Administration and Management, Measurement & Evaluation, Research Methodology, and the Teaching of English.
Dr. Nayak’s professional journey spans several prestigious roles in education. He has served as a Lecturer-in-Education across colleges in Chhattisgarh, Haryana, and Rajasthan. He held the position of Principal at various educational institutions, including Bhagwati P.G. College of Education in Meerut, Ramanujan College of Education in Haryana, and Dewan Institute of Management Studies in Meerut. Associate Professor and Professor at BhagwanMahaveer College of Education, Jagadishpur, Sonepat, under ChoudharyRanbir Singh University, Jind, Haryana. Associate Professor at Fakir Mohan University, Balasore, Odisha. Currently, he serves as a Professor and Dean of Education at Netaji Subhas University, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.
Throughout his career, Dr. Nayak has made significant contributions to curriculum development, preparing B.Ed. and M.Ed. curriculum frameworks in line with NCTE regulations. He is the author of over 41 books ( Text Book Encyclopaedias,Reference Books) 30 Book Chapters and 70 International Journals on education and has collaborated with Prof. S.P. Ruhela, a notable figure in the education sector. Dr. Nayak’s scholarly achievements include publishing numerous research papers and guiding M.Ed., M.A. Education, M.Phil., and Ph.D. students, with 12 Ph.D. degrees awarded under his supervision.Dr. Nayak has been honored with numerous awards, including the R.P. Singh Best Educationist Award (2011), Dr. Govind Tiwari Memorial Best Educational Thinker Award (2013), Life Time Achievement Award (2011) by Vinoba Bhave University,Hazaribag, Education Excellence Award at International Stage by Kits Kraft International and the Intellectual of the Year 2024 by Rifacemanto International., He is a member of professional bodies such as AIAER, IATE, Visiting Expert for the National Council for Teacher Education, Northern Regional Committee, Inspection Team Jaipur, India.and The Global Community and serves as the editor of Pahal Horizon, a bi-annual ISSN journal.
With 27 years of experience in teaching, administration, and research, Dr. Nayak has made significant strides in advancing education in India through innovative practices, research, and a commitment to the development of educational philosophy.
