At the outset I express my gratitude to Sri M. M. Singh, Hon’ble Chancellor of Netaji Subhas University who has given me the opportunity to serve as Vice Chancellor of this University. The University is known as highest seat of learning. Netaji Subhas University is fast marching ahead to fulfill its objectives and mission. Located at Pokhari on the outskirts of Jamshedpur in East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand, this University is poised for meeting the expectations of the society in general and tribal population in particular. It is preparing students for leadership in a multicultural world enriching through teaching, research, creative and outreach activities so as to meet the aspiration of the nation. The campus is adorned with a ‘happy and congenial environment’ and it provides the energetic and pollution free academic atmosphere to the students as well as faculty members from across the country, with diverse culture, promoting mutual understanding and unity. We at NSU work in healthy atmosphere of cooperation and coordination which provides impetus to students, teachers, the non-teaching staff, alumni as well as resident-community to play a very meaningful role in nation building.

Netaji Subhas University has in total 12 Schools, namely – School of Commerce and Management (BBA, MBA, B. Com. Hons. & M. Com), School of IT (BCA & MCA), School of Law (BBA-LLB, LL. B & LL.M), School of Science (B. Sc. Hons., M. Sc., B. Sc. in Agriculture & B. Sc. in Biotechnology), School of Arts and Humanities (B. A. Hons. & M. A.), School of Multidisciplinary / Interdisciplinary Research (Ph. D.), School of Hospitality (B. Sc. in Hotel Management), School of Journalism and Mass Communication (B. A. in Journalism & Mass Communication & M. A. in Journalism & Mass Communication), School of Education (B. Ed. & M. A. in Education), School of Polytechnic (Civil, Mechanical, EEE, ECE & Computer Science), School of Nursing (B. Sc. Nursing, ANM & GNM), and School of Pharmacy (D. Pharma & B. Pharma). For furtherance of knowledge and sustainable development of the society, the University has decided to introduce some other very valuable and employment oriented programmes. These are expected to commence in the coming academic years.
