Seminar on “Beyond Greenwashing: Authentic CSR as a Tool for Deep Brand Affinity
The Department of Placement organized a seminar titled “Beyond Greenwashing: Authentic CSR as a Tool for Deep Brand Affinity” in collaboration with the Jamshedpur Management Association.
Mr. Keshav Kumar Ranjan, CSR Manager, Tata Steel Ltd. was invited as the guest speaker for the seminar. He shared his insights and experiences on the topic with students from various programs, including BBA, B.Com, MBA, and BBA LLB.
Mr. Rajan emphasized that authentic Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goes beyond mere “greenwashing.” Genuine CSR involves deeply integrating ethical and sustainable practices into a company’s core operations and values. When CSR initiatives are sincere, transparent, and aligned with a brand’s purpose, they help establish a strong emotional connection with consumers. This deep brand affinity stems from shared values and trust in the company’s commitment to making a positive impact, ultimately leading to increased customer loyalty, advocacy, and long-term success.
