Smart India Hackathon 2026

The Code Busters N Coding Club (CBNCC) under the School of Information Technology, Netaji Subhas University, successfully organized the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026 Internal Hackathon on 12th September 2026. This one-day, five-hour internal selection round provided students with a platform to develop technology-based solutions to real-world challenges through the official SIH 2026 problem statements.

The event witnessed participation from 33 teams comprising 198 students, with students from different departments coming together to form multidisciplinary teams. Participants applied their skills in brainstorming, coding, designing, presentation, teamwork, communication, creativity, and problem-solving to develop and present their proposed solutions. The event was conducted under the guidance of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and the College SIH SPOC, with teams receiving mentorship and evaluation throughout the competition.

The Internal Hackathon was evaluated by a jury panel of 9 highly qualified faculty members from multiple departments of the university. The jury was divided across three presentation rooms, with three members assigned to each room, enabling a structured evaluation of the teams’ problem understanding, proposed solutions, technical approach, feasibility, and presentation.
